Warwick Township Baseball's Travel Program Overview

Warwick Township Baseball's travel program offers players the chance to compete against teams from neighboring communities during the spring season in the Suburban Travel Baseball League. The travel teams provide a more challenging and advanced level of play compared to the in-house league. Our goal is to have travel teams at each age level (8-12) each season.

Players must voluntarily register for travel baseball and understand that not all players will be selected for a team during tryouts.

Selected players are required to pay a travel fee in addition to the regular in-house fee to cover uniforms, umpires, and other program costs. They are also expected to participate in winter workouts held at an indoor facility starting in January. Additionally, travel players must commit to playing in both the travel and in-house leagues, with a typical week including multiple games and practices.

Additional Details for Travel Baseball:

Travel baseball with Warwick Township Baseball takes place during the spring season, with games typically scheduled on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons. The travel team competes against, and travels to, teams from Warrington, Pennsbury, Council Rock, Lenape Valley, Doylestown, and other nearby areas - the furthest location might be 45 min away.

Both players and parents must make a commitment to the travel and in-house baseball program, as the season runs concurrently with the in-house league. Players can expect to play multiple games each week, along with regular practices.

Warwick Township Baseball participates in the Suburban Travel Baseball League to provide a competitive environment for young players seeking to enhance their baseball skills.

Once selected, players are required to pay a separate fee for uniforms, insurance, and equipment, as well as participate in indoor winter workouts.

Travel baseball offers a unique opportunity for players to compete at a high level and develop their talents. It is important to reiterate travel is a significant commitment for both players and parents.

Travel is NOT affiliated with Little League. Players selected to represent Warwick in the LLWS Tournament are selected via a different process that is open to ALL in-house players. Please see 'What are Districts?' tab.

7's Development Program

We believe in developing baseball skills and love for the sport at a young age. Our philosophy is to make travel baseball available to as many younger kids as we can so that they can start to build their skill set and also get a little taste of more competitive baseball. This is why our 7U development program is open to ALL 7U registered players within our organization. It will consist of additional practices and games, or scrimmages against neighboring leagues. The additional cost to play on this team is zero, except for maybe having to purchase our practice jersey.

Therefore, 7's will not have a tryout like the other ages and the timeline of events will be a little different. After registration closes in March, we will reach out to all eligible 7's within our league and will coordinate the time for additional practices. We'll also work with that group of families on coordinating games & scrimmages. Based on the interest we get, 7s could participate in the Suburban Instructional League which will require some travel.
